OUR COUSIN VINNY'S STORY

VINCENT JOSEPH SOTILE

Born March 14, 1931 in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. His father Philip Sotile & his Mama Rosa Giambroni, originally from Caccamo, Italy, taught Our Lil' Cousin Vinny her Authentic Sicilian family recipes.

Vince's Diner opened in 1968, proudly serving his Mama Rosa's famous Red Gravy & meatballs for only $1! Our Cousin Vinny's dream was to bottle his Mama Rosa's love & feed the world, both young & old. VINCENT JOSEPH SOTILE

1931 – 2015

A native of Donaldsonville and a resident of Livonia, Vince died suddenly early Thursday morning, October 8th at his home. He was 84 years old and a Korean War Veteran. He is survived by his wife Vivian of 65 years and his daughter Darlene Aucoin, his granddaughter Tania Stephens, great-granddaughters Alex Stephens and Valerie Aucoin, his sister Concetta DeLouise and sister-in-law Marion Sotile, numerous nieces and nephews along with many, many wonderful friends. He was a former owner of many restaurants in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas and recently introduced his special "Cousin Vinny's" sauce.
